This is it. Highly domesticated and slightly crazy.
I have a tendency to drift off into I don’t know where, some dreamy, lackadaisical state. So I put together a schedule, up by 8am and working by 9am with a 1 hour lunch break, sometimes half hour if I’m feeling like there’s much to do. I work until 5 or 6pm, depending on what I’m preparing for dinner.
Work consists of studying and teaching myself things. By the time I do start working again for money, I don’t want to feel like I’ve stagnated or worse that I’ve regressed and am unable to apply myself anymore.
I walked over to my local library and borrowed a bunch of books- software instructional guides for Photoshop and Flash and knitting pattern books so I can balance computer work with leisurely activities. I’m taking a class at Portland Community Media called Multimedia Digital Storytelling on Monday nights. Seems interesting so far, we will ultimately combine techniques from Photoshop and Flash to construct a short, basic animation.
It keeps me focused. Of course some of my working time is spent completing household chores like cleaning the house and laundry but I can usually squeeze in time for other things like World Pulse assignments, as long as I’m keeping busy for the regular working day.
When Dan comes home I am gleeful to have someone to talk to, just bursting with not terribly interesting things to say but you know being unemployed can be very lonesome. It can even make you slightly crazy.
haha i like that , you’re funny 🙂 esp. the “bursting with things to say” part.. reminds me of my unemployment bouts.. and btw very interesting sweater you knitted, as shown on facebook
Nice claws, dude.
